Here we converted a very challenging attic space into a delightful bedroom for a 10 year old girl. We made the most of space by using a hanging chair positioned for the view out of the gable-end window, with an illuminated bookshelf recessed into the eaves area next to it. Tot he right of this recess we built ectra long drawers to use the full depth of the eaves, next to a short hanging area behind doors, with more bookshelves hidden behind. The bed was placed in a darkened nook in the opposite eaves spave, with the dark blue paint here picking up on the shades of a floral feature wallpaper on the adjacent wall containing a new full height wardrobe and expansive desk surface floating underneath the purlin. A warm beige colour was used on the window wall.
